Celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II
On 2 June 1953 Her Majesty The Queen took her coronation oath in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
The 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation will be marked with a Service of Celebration at Westminster Abbey on 4 June 2013.
The service will be attended by Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family.
In addition to the main service, Westminster Abbey is also hosting a series of special events to celebrate the anniversary.
Buckingham Palace will hold a four-day Coronation Festival in July,
bringing together over 200 companies who hold Royal Warrants of
Appointment. The Festival will also be open to members of the public.
